The world awakens in spring. Daffodils, crocuses and spring beauties are showing their pretty faces. The animal kingdom is renewed with fresh life. The earth is thawing and you can smell the wonderful mud. The landscape transforms from monotone to blossoming hues.
Sugar Snow
Maple sap begins to flow when winter starts to tease us with the promise of spring. The longer winter and spring spar, the longer the sap runs. A “sugar snow” keeps the trees from budding and prolongs the maple syrup season.
